"This is the rehabilitated version of what is now 'Robots + Monsters'. I had originally titled it 'Monsters + Robots', but figured I should change it for a couple of reasons: 1) The lyric in the chorus is 'Dreams of robots and monsters'. 2) There is an album in existence already called 'Monsters and Robots' thanks to Buckethead.
The song is about a girl who uses fictitious visuals consisting of robots and monsters to remember the names of people she doesn't know and the stories she hears about them."

lyrics
I hear your name,
But I can't see your face.
Your silhouette
Becomes my new imaginative trace.
Standing 6 and a half foot tall
Staring wide and open-jawed
Living like you've seen it all
It's so impossible these days
Won't you come and meet my friends?
They'll play nice.
They won't bite.
Dreams of robots and monsters
In my mind.
Your story sticks tight with me.
Elementary school
Nineteen Ninety-Four
Thirty-five heads in the room,
Out of them all, five of which start a feud.
All in all, it just leads to more...
Yeah, it always helps when you're
Standing 6 and a half foot tall
Staring wide and open-jawed
Living like you've seen it all
It's so impossible these days.
Won't you come and meet my friends?
They'll play nice.
They won't bite.
Dreams of robots and monsters
In my mind.
Your story sticks tight with me.
With me (Yeah)
(Aren't you glad that I have your attention?)
It's so remarkable these days!
Standing 6 and a half foot tall,
Staring wide and open-jawed,
Living like you've seen it all,
Come and meet my friends!
